The ward and its politics
Harriet finds herself behind a closed on-call door with the chief of surgery, a man who plainly outranks her, in a relationship the listing does not dress up as equal. Meanwhile the head nurse, jealous and eager to see Harriet dismissed, stands just outside. The listed cast name is Harriet Seagrave, listed age 20. The tone runs on rivalry and the threat of discovery.
Two free episodes, one question
You get a 60 second opener and a second episode at no cost, which is ample time for the only test that matters. Ask whether the head nurse is the reason you want to continue. A corridor rivalry can carry a short series, and here it is the part with real stakes. Should the hospital politics leave you cold, you have spent nothing.
What the remaining three cost
Each later episode lists at 12 tokens. Your outlay climbs from 12 to 24, and finishing episode 5 brings it to 36. For comparison, the cost to finish page sets every total side by side, and the same opener bracket lives on the one minute shelf. List prices can dip during a promotion, so check the current price when you are ready to spend.
The bookkeeper's verdict
The rivalry outside the door is the part of this series worth judging. At 36 tokens it costs the same as its shelf mates, so premise decides.
Pay to the end if: Finish if you want to know whether the head nurse gets her way.
Stop at the free episodes if: Stop if the premise sits badly with you, which is a perfectly sound reason.
