Plans vs tokens: two columns that do not add up
Candy prices its plans in dollars and its paid episodes in tokens, and our notes contain no rate joining the two. So this page sets them side by side and declines to pretend they convert.
The plans as noted
These are the subscription prices in our records, copied out with no sums applied:
- 12 months: $3.99 per month ($47.88 per year)
- 3 months: $8.99 per month
- 1 month: $9.99 the first month, then $13.99
- 2 weeks: $9.79
- 1 week: $5.60
Offers change, so treat this as a dated note and confirm the figures against the current offer before committing to anything.
The tokens as noted
On the episode side the numbers are tidier. Each paid episode lists at 12 tokens, so finishing costs 36 tokens on a five episode series, 48 on Kiss My Enemy and 60 on Isabella's Revelation. A promotion can bring those down for a while, which is one more reason to look at the price shown when you get there. For the mechanics of the unit itself, our token notes go into more detail than most people will require.
The sum we refuse to do
The obvious question is how many episodes a plan would pay for. We cannot answer it. We hold no figure for how many tokens a plan gives, and no dollar value for a token, so any comparison printed here would be fiction wearing a calculator. Be wary of the same sum anywhere it appears without a source. If this matters to your choice, the current offer is where to find the terms, and you should read what it says a plan includes before assuming anything.
How to think about it anyway
You can still get somewhere with a little honesty about your own habits. Decide first how many series you truly mean to finish, because that question comes before any question of payment. Write down the tokens that would take, using the bill per series. Then open the current offer and compare that written number with what you are told a plan provides. It is an unglamorous routine, but it leaves you comparing stated terms and no guesses of ours.
Short answers
How many tokens does a plan include?
We have no figure for that, so we do not state one. Check the current offer.
Which plan works out cheapest per episode?
That cannot be worked out from our notes, since nothing here links plan prices to token prices.
Are these plan prices current?
They are what we noted and offers change, so confirm them before paying.
